ABSTRACT

It would be a rare case if a new library were created and there were no books and materials to move in. Invariably the process of designing a new or remodeled library includes the need to plan for the move into it. Like all other aspects of library planning, the move could be done smoothly if planned carefully. It also could be a very disorganized, time-consuming, frustrating process if it is not planned carefully. The purpose of this chapter is to provide guidance in making the move an efficient, smooth-running operation.
