Library-Publisher Collaboration in the Preservation and Dissemination of Trade Catalogs

Trade catalogs are an important historic record which have until recently been difficult to access in an organized fashion. Libraries have been collecting these ephemera, and have begun to catalog them. This, along with microfiche publishing, is providing broader and improved avenues to the promotional literature of the past for researchers in a variety of fields.
