ABSTRACT
A discussion of the problems and difficulties inherent in the publication of contemporary scientific and technical information based on symposia, meetings or workshops, including the production process and the factors affecting the continued viability of this type of publishing. Other topics include: reviewer response, the publisher/professional society symbiosis, the review type hardcover book and the rapid communication journal, with toxicological and nuclear power examples as to the future.
