ABSTRACT

The pesticide translocation due to wind and water erosion causes heavy environmental damages. Sediment transport by surface runoff or wind is the most important non-point pollutant generated by agriculture in many regions. The monitoring performed in agrarian landscapes with a high erosion risk is predicted upon the estimation of rain and wind erosivity, soil erodibility, and morphological pattern. Pesticide transport models are rare. Therefore, soil erosion models serve as a basis for risk assessment, completed by the characterization of pesticide management and erosion control.
