[A Sketch from Childhood]

The manuscript is in the Berg Collection of the New York Public Library, catalogued as ‘Autobiographic Sketches, 3 holograph pages’. The fragment consists of white unwatermarked paper written in black ink. The text carries a number of inserts by Japp also in black ink. In so far as it is possible to distinguish Japp’s intrusions from the surrounding text, they have been ignored.
