ABSTRACT

Direct growth of spherical graphene film (SGF) with large surface area may offer a good avenue for various applications in sensor technology. The preparation of transfer-free graphene on different substrates is, in this respect, a very promising approach to reach these milestones. This chapter reviews the preparation of SGF and its potential applications in the sensor field. We discuss the characteristics of SGF in the sensor field and the recent advancements in the synthetic methods and applications. A new method is also introduced for the transfer-free graphene with controllable structure growth directly on the cemented carbide.
