ABSTRACT
Chapter 11 presents the concepts and types of product modularity. As the modularity of products was addressed in the examples used in Chapters 3, 7 and 10, it is understood that an exclusive chapter on modularity may contribute to the readership's understanding of the subject. Thus, initially, the conceptual differences in modularity and modularization of products are presented. Subsequently, the concepts related to each type of modularity (product, production, use, organizational and service) are discussed. Besides this, practical examples of the application of the concepts are presented.
