ABSTRACT

This chapter aims to introduce the people to some important considerations when beginning heir studies as well as strategies to manage some of the challenges the people may encounter. In child development terms holistic refers to the recognition that the child should be viewed as a whole, where each part is related and important in its own right. Studying early childhood embodies this philosophy, where all areas people explore respond to the individual nature of the child while also remaining connected and representing a whole experience. If our library has a subject-specialist librarian for early childhood studies, ensure the people make full use of them. The chapter identifies a number of important areas that the people will need to come to grips with as soon as possible if the people are to make the most of what the university has to offer the people.
