The Footbone’s Connected to the Anklebone, or, Enumeration, Checking-In and Labeling Instructions

The workshop focused on managing enumeration data in an online environment, and addressed the problems involved in reconciling various standards (bibliographic description, citation, holdings) and patterns (publication, binding), to provide users with consistent information. The presentation was predicated on the assumptions that a library has cataloged and classified its serials, has an automated environment, and has not adopted the USMARC Format for Holdings Data.
