ABSTRACT

Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) is a composite material made of fiber reinforcement surrounded by a solid matrix. There have been numerous studies on the composite laminated structures which find many applications in aerospace and civil engineering because of their ease of handling, mechanical property and economy. They also possess excellent impact resistance. The mechanical behavior of composite structures is of interest to engineers. Buckling of plates is a well-established branch of research in composite structures stability. It has a wide range of applications in engineering science. Buckling behavior of laminated composite plates subjected to in-plane loads is an important consideration in the preliminary design of aircraft They additionally have magnificent harm resilience and effect obstruction. The goal of the present work is to study the clasping of FRP covered plates by making use of ANSYS.
