The so-called ‘new media’ imply enormous changes. Everyday life can no longer be imagined without mobile phones and the internet. In appointments, private and professional meetings and communication, at school and university, today the internet plays an important role. If I want to know something I will “google” it. I send a text message to make an appointment or a rendezvous with somebody. I don´t have to depend on being at home to get a call. And, my message will reach my friend while she or he is on the road. Information, messages, letters, appointments are just a mouse-click away. Nowadays, we often hear the claim that the world is at your fingertips: one click and you have access to the whole world. The generation growing up with ‘new media’ is called ‘generation Y’, ‘digital natives’ or ‘generation connected’, the era of new media ‘digital age’ or ‘Liquid Age’.
