ABSTRACT

The decade of the 1990s is proving to be a period of major political upheaval, economic reprioritizing, and thorough examination of our organizations and ourselves. While the world of education has often adopted business management approaches in administration of educational organizations, the 1990s will be a decade in which not only these management approaches are used in education but we will see our institutions undergoing major restructuring and ourselves approaching provision of library services in ways that are a result of a “revenue diet,” technological advances, and changing personal philosophies of our constituents.
