ABSTRACT

This paper offers a discussion of whether there is need for library schools to provide special preparation for newspaper librarianship. In the author’s opinion, such training is probably not a high priority, and is unlikely to become a separate part of the curriculum. It is postulated that short courses and workshops should take care of any such need.
