ABSTRACT

As an Asian female faculty member and former special education teacher, I will share critical incidents with and by White colleagues and administrators at a predominantly White Catholic institution that led me to experience everyday trauma that has had long-lasting impacts on my well-being. Through narrative reflections using disAbility Studies in Education (dSE) as a framework, I share what it means to be a faculty of color and what my identity means to my “uncolored counterparts” in teacher education.
