ABSTRACT

Severe competition in the global hospitality industry gives a special importance to innovation practices as they contribute greatly to the differential marketing advantages and performance efficiency efforts of the international hotels. Therefore, the aim of this chapter is to provide a guiding lead to readers covering the issues as the goals, principles, characteristics, processes, types, and application areas of various innovation practices specific to international hospitality industry. The contents of the literature review on innovation management in international hotel industry chapter includes: the definition, principles, characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of innovation management, and innovation types with various framework categories and groups.
