ABSTRACT

This chapter describes the word Delhi will mean the whole of the National Capital Territory, including New Delhi. It focuses on the approaches to the provision of infrastructure with a clear emphasis on the National Capital Territory of Delhi. The chapter draws on general conclusions and makes several recommendations. The National Capital Territory of Delhi is much less than a full state of the Indian union. It has a special status under the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi Act 1992. The governance of these people within the National Capital Territory is undertaken by more than 13 large and about 200 medium and small organisations. The existence of a large number of organisations in the National Capital Territory of Delhi in itself is not a bad situation of governance. Administrative districts have been created to cover the entire geographical area of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
