ABSTRACT
This chapter explores the concepts of Black nationalism in America as a response to the historical experiences of bondage, cultural genocide, and disempowerment. The political, social, and economic atmosphere generated during Donald Trump’s US presidential campaign and after his 2016 election suggest the concepts and principles of Black nationalist theory will continue to be significantly relevant to Black resistance.
