ABSTRACT

A 14-year-old boy presents to the emergency department with left leg pain. The patient was playing with his friends when he had a sudden onset of left leg pain after jumping from a ledge that was approximately 8 feet high. The patient noticed a deformity of his leg, just above his knee, and has not been able to ambulate since. The patient denies any head or neck trauma, and no loss of consciousness is reported. The patient denies any other injuries. The patient denies any numbness or tingling of his left lower extremity.
