ABSTRACT

A previously healthy 3-year-old with a reported history of rolling off a 3-foot-high bed was found to be apneic and unresponsive on the scene by EMS (emergency medical services). He was intubated and brought to the emergency department, where it is found to be obtunded with no spontaneous movement on no sedation. Pupils are 6 mm on the right and fixed, 4 mm on the left and fixed. Mannitol and hypertonic saline are given and a CT scan of the head was obtained with images shown.
