ABSTRACT

A 1-week-old baby boy presents to the emergency department after his mother noticed his tooth growing. The tooth was present at birth and is now causing his mother to have pain with breastfeeding, with associated abrasions and bleeding. There is no blood in the baby's mouth nor is there redness or drainage from the tooth. There are no fevers or increased fussiness. The baby is doing well with normal activity level and normal wet diapers. He was born full term, and there were no complications during pregnancy or at delivery.
