ABSTRACT

Earlier chapters in this treatise on skin moisturizers have provided detailed analysis of skin physiology and function or described conditions resulting from perturbations in these. Other chapters have discussed some common moisturizer ingredients and means of assessing their efficacy. This chapter attempts to bring all this into perspective for those wishing to understand how the knowledge may be used to develop and manufacture a skin moisturizer.
