ABSTRACT

HISTORY OF SYRINGE FAT GRAFTING Fat grafting is not a new operation. As a filler, as a space-occupying tissue, adipose tissue has always interested the aesthetic surgeon. It started in several different countries. In North America extensive research was done by L. Peer, Gurney, Kanaval, and Stevenson and in Europe by Rossati. Their conclusion was that 50% of the transplanted cells should survive. A cell survival rate of 25-50% seems highly constant.
