ABSTRACT

Among lymphomas, non-necrotizing epithelioid granulomas are most commonly seen in association with Hodgkin lymphoma (1) where they can occur both in affected tissue (nodal and extranodal) as well as in otherwise unaffected organs. In contrast, granulomatous features are rarely found in primary cutaneous lymphomas (CL) (2,3). Distinct nosologic subtypes of CL with granulomatous features include granulomatous slack skin and granulomatous MF (Table 1). Granulomatous CTCL usually run a slowly progressive course. The impact of early therapeutic intervention on disease progression in this forms of CTCL is still unclear. Up to 50% of the cases develop nodal lymphomas which then have a potentially fatal outcome.
