ABSTRACT
The changes in the functions, lifestyles, and technologies related to residential buildings have led to the development of several new concepts in housing. Nevertheless, the house remains a privileged space where people stay, live, and interact with others, objects, and places. The espression “home sweet home” makes it clear and describes how we consider the house as a sort of “private heaven,” which is of a self-centered design and built to maximize our enjoyment, satisfaction, comfort, and well-being.
