ABSTRACT
This entry offers a general introduction to the different types of Mexican libraries, museums, and archives, with an emphasis on libraries and related subjects such as serials, book production, and library schools. Literature was consulted and direct data was gathered from Web sites and through telephone interviews of knowledgeable library professionals. Data used in this entry is not all recent. Therefore, it is used mainly as an indicator of the general status of Mexican information development.
