ABSTRACT
This entry covers the development of libraries and archives in Korea, and with a focus on their current status and activities and their vision for the future. The authors present an overview of Korean institutional change, and describe recent government policies concerning libraries and archives. They also discuss various types of libraries as well as professional associations and educational programs for librarians and archivists.
