ABSTRACT

The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) is the leading international body representing the interests of library and information services, their staffs, and users. The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions is an independent, nongovernmental, not-for-profit organization, registered in The Hague as an association under the law of the Netherlands. Founded at an international congress in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 1927, it has become the global voice of the library and information profession.
