ABSTRACT
Technology is one of the major driving forces in diagnosis and treatment. This paper gives a short overview of the state-ofthe-art in technological advancements covering visualization, registration, modeling, virtual reality, surgical simulators, and surgical robotics. Examples illustrating how these advances impact ophthalmic and brain surgery are given. We also provide our vision about future orbital surgery.
