Tools for analyzing factors affecting marketplace usage by micro, small, and medium enterprises: Using a modified unified theory of acceptance and a technology 2 model in Bandung
Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in Indonesia’s economy. Indonesia has a population of more than 250 million people and about 117.68 million workforces; 96.87 percent of the Indonesian people work in MSMEs. The Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises states that MSMEs accounted for up to 60.34% of the gross domestic product (GDP) in 2017. Due to the importance of MSMEs in Indonesia’s economy, the application of information technology for this sector needs to be fully supported. This study aimed to propose a measurement tool based on the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology 2 (UTAUT2) model by Venkatesh, Thong, and Xu (2012). The model has been modified by adding a trust variable. The measurement tool was tested by using thirty respondents. The pilot test revealed that the measurement model fulfills the requirements of validity and reliability. Therefore, this proposed measurement material is ready for use in further study.
