The paper presents study results of inductive microdisplacement sensors (LVDT type) applied to the tasks of concrete and rocks laboratory and field testing. Along with the general questions of electromagnetic sensors construction for mechanical measurements, the development results of universal LVDT sensors of a special type also described. In particular, special attention is paid to the linear characteristics of the primary converters, amplifier circuitry, and the wireless transmission and data acquisition system.
