ABSTRACT

From opening the volume with the simple claim that there is nothing new under the sun, we introduce the implications of ‘new’ in relation to ‘re-’ as a prefix. We outline the stylistic and structural approaches taken in re-visiting our work from the archives, complemented by reflective essays and contributions from guest writers. Themes including spectatorship, landscape and visual dramaturgy, and the processual and physical nature of theatres are introduced. The innovative approach of such a hybrid volume is presented as a form of ordering and re-circulating.
