ABSTRACT
In his book Sexual Desire, Roger Scruton wrongly maintains that human sexual experience is essentially intentional. His thesis depends on his highly revisionary definitions of ‘sexual arousal’ and ‘sexual desire’, the artificial nature of which I expose and criticise.
