ABSTRACT
History of philosophy has been around as long as philosophy itself. Aristotle studied his predecessors, and much of what we know about the pre-Socratics comes from his writings. As far as we know, there have also been women philosophers throughout history. This essay explores the changing attitudes of history of philosophy towards women, showing that evolving attitudes towards historical women philosophers provide a fresh source of worth for the history of philosophy.
