ABSTRACT

Resonant spherical nonlinear waves, in contrast to plane resonant nonlinear waves, have hardly been studied. At the same time, the spherical model for modeling various physical objects is very popular. It has been widely used and is used in physics, ranging from astrophysics (music of the spheres, Ptolemy's cosmology, the Big Bang theory and spherical harmonics of the cosmos microwave background) to elementary particles and the string theory.

Here we study the cases of excitation of these waves in spherical resonators.

The nonlinear acoustics approximation is used for the case of purely radial vibrations.
