Recent Approaches to Robust Water Resources Management under Hydroclimatic Uncertainty

Hydroclimatic uncertainty and variability commonly translate into unreliable or insufficient water supplies or flood events. Climate change is further introducing hydroclimatic uncertainty which raises the question of how to develop water management strategies that account for the range of possible future alternatives. This chapter investigates approaches from the recent scientific literature that incorporate hydroclimatic uncertainty for developing robust water management strategies and propose a way to move forward towards water resources sustainability.
