ABSTRACT
This chapter describes how crafts can be understood through a feminist lenses as a space of “art therapy” that uses traditional arts modes that have meaning with the culture of non western women: At the same time, it is a bases for a shared reality group that can resist static social stands, and for real life social and financial empowerment for poor women from traditional cultures.
