ABSTRACT

Discrimination against individuals/specific groups based on gender, ethnicity, caste, or religion is a phenomenon that exists across the world irrespective of space and time. Our evidence suggests that discrimination leads to inefficiency in the distribution of labour across the sectors, which will hamper the economic growth of a nation. It will also lead to political unrest and social inequality and poverty.
