ABSTRACT
Against the background exposed in Chapter 1 (on illiberal constitutionalism and the constraint power of the European Rule of Law) and Chapter 4 (on the Hungarian constitutional transformations between 1989 and 2019), this chapter focuses solely on the Hungarian domestic Rule of Law situation and approaches. It explores both the value-level and enforceable legal measure-compliance or acquis-compliance, strictu sensu, of Hungary.
