Of the two unsigned essays included in this volume, only The accomplish ’d merchant presents any uncertainty of authorship. Printed privately without place or date by “a Merchant of London” (title, emphasis in original), this very rare work was reported in 1970 (Redlich, [199]) to be listed in no “generally used bibliograph[y].”
