ABSTRACT

This chapter argues that the descriptive analysis of Hispanic Women and Leadership, that the feminist movement to an extent has failed Hispanic\Latina women for several major reasons. The task of rethinking, revising, redefining, and enhancing the feminist white women’s movement to incorporate the experiences of Hispanic women is one of the most significant challenges this presentation brings to feminist scholarship. Unlike Hispanic women and other racial ethnic groups that have been marginalized and isolated in the periphery of society, the feminist white women’s movement has had a more positive reception. The relationship of Hispanic women leadership to women leaders in the United States has been neglected and left out of the social sciences and feminist scholarship research. The chapter also argues that the feminist movement to an extend has failed women of color for several major reasons.
