ABSTRACT
When a drug is administered to an animal a complex interplay between many factors results in the metabolites that finally are excreted. One of these factors, the availability of cosubstrates for conjugation, is the main subject of this chapter. The various conjugation reactions and their special requirements for cosubstrates are given in Table 1.
