ABSTRACT

Conventional flow cytometry has become an essential technique for quantitatively assessing cellular subpopulations, is increasingly employed in applications ranging from fundamental biological research to clinical assays [1-3], and now is also of interest in cell culture 4 Ordinarily suspended cells are analyzed, but occasionally larger objects, such as small multicellular organisms, beads, or gel microdrops (GMDs), are used. The latter provide the basis of the antibody (Ab) secretion assay.
