ABSTRACT
This chapter describes the substrate specificity and practical synthetic application of glycosyltransferases. Regeneration of sugar nucleotides in glycosyltransferase-catalyzed synthesis of oligosaccharides is a key to large-scale processes. In addition, glycosylation with glycosylphosphites and application of glycosyltransferases to solid-phase glycopeptide synthesis are described.
