ABSTRACT
Some studies on the mechanism of regulation of the synthesis of different histone subtypes during sea urchin development are discussed. Data in favour of the idea of a marked acceleration of ribosomal Rna synthesis at the hatching blastula stage of P.lividus are reported. The fact that myoinositol can counteract the vegetalizing effect of Lithium is also discussed.
