ABSTRACT
Against parasites, sea cucumber hosts display cellular reactions culminating in brown body formation. The structures are constituted by noduls with encapsulating foreign materials. More noduls are brought together by an internodular cellular mass in a large encapsulating body. Melanization accompanies the cellular encapsulation.
