ABSTRACT

In this paper, a horizontal homogeneous soil layer subjected to rainfall infiltration is adopted to study the influence of some hydraulic parameters on the pore-water distributions systematically. The pore-water pressure profiles are calculated using a published analytical solution. The results from the study demonstrates that the influence of desaturation coefficient of the soil-water characteristic curve (SWCC) is the most significant, followed by the saturated permeability and the difference between saturated and residual volumetric water contents.
