ABSTRACT

The new possibilities and changes in informational and communicational approach by the global power of ICT have evoked a new art: knowledge management. Due to the growing facilities in time and span of information exchange, individuality in teaching is vanishing, education is becoming transparent, and new modes of co-operation arise. A need for directives in self-orientation and self-instruction grows rapidly. The expectations of the new paradise of global information are astounding. How to maintain quality in knowledge transfer, how to give a proper place to experience, how to prohibit amateurish application of generously offered tools and methods, how to create engineering awareness? These are important questions. In this paper the fundamentals of knowledge, knowledge values and transfer, and the aspects where KM and ICT are useful will be outlined.
