ABSTRACT

According to the increasing complexity of problems, the present conceptions in slope stability engineering claim more accurate analyses. The approach based on the assessment or on the prediction of landslide risk are such examples. In most cases for accurate analyses the assessment of the loading system induced by water is essentially. Several complex situations requiring such analyses are classified and enumerated. For this reason, a multidisciplinary support of specialists in this kind of problems is necessary and these interference between fields of activity have to be known by the young geotechnical engineers, at least as way of regarding the problems. The universities have an important role, being involved in this process with a decisive contribution.
