ABSTRACT

This paper analyzed the test results of creep of frozen soil under dynamic loading with confining pressure. It is found that the dynamic creep strength of frozen soil increases with increasing confining pressure when the confining pressure is less than the critical confining pressure corresponding to the maximum strength, and decreases with the increasing confining pressure when the confining pressure is greater than the critical confining pressure. The dynamic creep strength decreases with increasing frequency and increases with descending temperature; and it also increases with increasing minimum creep rate and decreases with increasing time to failure.
