ABSTRACT

48 species of echinoderms (except Holothuroi - dea) have been found to date along the Spanish South Mediterranean coast, between 0 and 300 mètrès of depth. They can be divided as follows: 2 crinoids, 17 asteroids, 13 ophiuroids and 16 echinoids. In this study various information is summarised about their distribution and ecology.
